Terms, Shipping & Returns

Guarantee: All representations of new jewelry are guaranteed to be accurate, to include: stone type, stone treatments, stone quality, stone weights, metal types and metal content percentages.  In the case of estate jewelry, we will estimate stone information to the best of our professional capacity and will typically consult with a third party professional appraiser to confirm our estimates.  If you receive an in-stock item from us and it does not meet your expectations, we do offer a five day refund period (see the Refund section below for specific information).  

Payment plans: As a courtesy to our clientèle, we offer the option of an interest-free payment plan on any purchase over $500.  Our payment plan allows the flexibility of spreading the total purchase amount into monthly payments over a time period up to three months total.  The item will be shipped after the full payment obligation is met.  There is no fee for utilizing this option.  Payment plans must be arranged directly with our office:

Sales Tax: Sales tax will be collected on purchases shipped to Virginia addresses. 

Photography: Photographs on this website are nearly always of the actual item that will be shipped when purchased.  We maintain some stock photography of Spanish and Italian designs, along with our kaleidoscope necklaces.  The photography in those instances is always representative of what can be expected when you place your order.  Photography is not shown to scale.  Photo editing software is never used to change colors or in any way enhance the appearance of the actual items being sold; photo editing software is only used to prepare a photograph for website presentation (for example, cropping or cleaning the background in an image).  

Ring Sizing: It is important for the goldsmiths who make our pieces to perform the sizings on most of our rings.  Some of our rings are complicated and many feature unusual and exotic gems.  Initial sizings on our rings as listed within the description will be done without charge.  Sizings typically take a week or two to complete, but some of our more complicated pieces can take longer.  Sizings greater than or smaller than the listed options may be an option available as a custom order; please contact us to inquire.  Custom sizing does impact your ability to return a ring, so we can arrange to ship the ring to you before sizing for inspection.  All questions on specific rings and sizing options can and should be discussed with our office before you make a purchase.  

Shipping: In-stock items will usually ship from our office within 3-5 business days.  Our inventory is often transported out of the office for exhibitions, so that can cause a delay in shipping.  Some items on this website will be made to order.  Please contact us directly if immediate or specific timing is important to you.  We ship domestically using UPS 2nd Day, and we do not ship internationally.

All items are shipped fully insured, and all shipments require a signature for delivery.  We will only ship to the confirmed address associated with your credit card or PayPal account: if you wish to use an alternative address, you will need to add that address to your credit card account prior to making the purchase.  Taking that step before you place your order will help avoid significant delays in processing your order.  

We have a flat shipping and insurance fee of $15 for all purchases up to $1000 in value, and a flat shipping fee of $25 for purchases between $1001 and $5000.  Shipping charges will be waived for purchases over $5000.  If USPS or FedEx would be preferred for shipping, please contact us to let us know.  

Returns: We understand how difficult in can be to make a jewelry purchase on-line as opposed to in-person.  We offer a five day inspection period in which pieces purchased on our website may be returned for a refund.  Shipping costs will be deducted from the return; fortunately, our shipping costs are quite low.  USPS coast to coast shipping is approximately $37 on orders valued at up to $20,000.  This return policy does not extend to pieces made to order or custom sized.

To help facilitate the process of returning our jewelry, we will email you an insured label (your choice of UPS, FedEx or USPS) with specific instructions on how to appropriately package the item for return.  A few simple criteria must all be met in order to be in compliance with our insurance company policies.  We will make the process simple and pain-free for our customers, but the responsibility of packing the returned item in compliance with the insurance company requirements and returning the piece in a timely manner is entirely the customer's responsibility.  

Pieces returned for refund must be in original, unworn and undamaged condition.  We will closely inspect all returned pieces for signs of wear or damage before a refund is issued.  

 Return Exceptions: Rings which have been custom sized are not eligible for return.  Custom orders on Spanish and Italian pieces are not eligible for return.
